“So far this year, Aledo Main Street (AMS) hosted “Ladies on the Loose”, a fundraiser event aimed at promoting support for local shops while providing a perfect excuse to gather with friends and family.

Is there a better combination than supporting local businesses while making lasting memories?!

As our first Spring event has come and gone, it signals that summer isn’t far behind, and once again, Aledo has a fantastic lineup of Summer events!

The Rhubarb Committee does a fantastic job with the Aledo Rhubarb Festival, and Aledo Main Street is happy to work alongside them to provide Antique/Flea/Craft/Artisan Vendors on College Avenue and part of the Central Park Parking Lot on Friday - June 7 & Saturday- June 8 of 2024.

The Rhubarb Festival draws thousands of visitors to Aledo to experience all that our community has to offer. From exciting activities and live music to exploring local brick-and-mortar restaurants and shops, you truly can - Find it All in Aledo!

AMS is looking forward to Aledo Antiques Day & Car Show on Saturday - August 24th 2024. This unique event offers a wide range of activities for the whole family, including Antique/Craft/Farmers Market Vendors, Food trucks, Music in the Bandshell, Garden Tractor Pulls, an Antique Tractor Show, and a Car Show featuring a large array of cars.

You’ll want to be in Historic Downtown Aledo to feel the nostalgia of all things new and “Antique”.

Sprinkled between the Rhubarb Festival and Antiques Day, we have several smaller events that we love to host, providing something for everyone in the community to enjoy.

The Downtown Aledo Farmers Market takes place in Central Park every Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, starting June 13th through September 26th. Locals offer fresh produce, baked goods, and artisan items at the Farmers Market.

Entertainment in the Bandshell starts at 6:00 PM after the Market periodically throughout the summer.

All events so far are FREE to attend and family-friendly, including the Cinema@Central Summer Movies Series, held at Central Park on June 14th, July 19th, and August 9th. Crafts and concessions are available before the movie, which starts at dusk.

With so much happening throughout the year, if you want to stay up-to-date on events and activities offered, check out Aledo Main Street on Facebook, browse our website at www.aledomainstreet.com, or stop by the AMS Office located at 100 E. Main St.

If you want to get involved, volunteer with events within the community, or just want to learn more about the Aledo Main Street Organization - let’s talk!”

Another big thank you to Lindsey Dunn of Aledo Main Street for letting everyone know more about the events Aledo, Illinois has to offer!
